What I’m reading
Unfortunately, I don’t have as much time to read these days as I used to. The days of reading 40-50 books per year are long gone. But I’m always reading something.
Current read: “Magician: Apprentice” by Raymond Feist. I last read this book in the 1980s, and I loved it then. A recent conversation about Feist and the Riftwar Saga inspired me to pick it up again. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.
Last read: “War of the Shattered Moon” by G. Scott Huggins. He had me at sentient rifles with the first book of the Wishkiller Saga, which I read a few months ago. Now, the fight to stop the deadly Lotus from spreading. (Read more thoughts on Substack.)
Current listening
Music is a major part of my writing process, as well as my life. I’ve often joked that I spend more time planning the soundtrack of my novels than what I’m actually going to write, but it’s not far from the truth. I’m an old metalhead who dabbles in other musical styles. Here I’ll share the current soundtrack for my life (and eventually, maybe some of my novels.) The button below will also take you to my infrequently updated music review site.
